Hybrids in the Lobo Park

Our two hybrids, Wamba and Llop are now together in one enclosure.

Wamba our hybrid from Mallorca and Llop that we adopted from Barcelona felt a bit lonely in their individual enclosures. Luckily we were able to put them together last Sunday. So now Llop moved in with Wamba’s big enclosure and since Wamba is a female and Llop a male they should enjoy each other’s company.
In the beginning neither one was really impressed by the other and having to share their space. But in the following days we’ve been observing that they are getting along better every day.
Normally it is difficult to introduce one adult to another adult wolf (or in this case hybrid) within an enclosure or area.
When we re-introduce our puppies back to the existing pack it usually does not create a problem because puppies are not considered as “intruders” or “competitors” and the parents recognize their pups by their smell. In the wild wolves would also adopt youngsters. The only difference is when having adult wolves, is that if you have a female being introduced to pack of male or vice-versa, then of course they see the “new comer” with pleasure.
